Surgical Procedure Assistant

Duties:

• Collaborate with surgeons and residents in the clinic and OR, ensuring efficient procedure support.
• Escort patients to the operating area and confirm treatment plans using the medical record.
• Set up sterile instruments and surgical equipment, maintaining a clean environment.
• Capture radiographs as needed throughout the procedure.
• Provide direct surgical assistance, including monitoring vitals, suctioning, and medication management.
• Restock and organize supplies, ensuring readiness for future procedures.
• Clean and sterilize equipment post-procedure and dispose of medical waste appropriately.

Skills Required:

• Certified Dental Assistant with BLS certification.
• At least 3 years of experience; 5 years preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Education:

• Associate's Degree minimum; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
