Salary: 110,500 - 149,500 USD per year Requirements:

• Understanding of the dark web and underground cybercrime ecosystems, with knowledge of navigating through cryptocurrency exchanges.
• Solid experience with identifying and analyzing virtual currency or cryptocurrency transactions through dark web sources.
• Experience in using cyber intelligence tools and software to actively search and mine the publicly available Internet and the darknet/deep web.
• Advanced understanding of the methods used by cyber-criminals to conceal their identities online, conduct business, and navigate various marketplaces and forums.
• Ability to use technology solutions to actively search, analyze, and prioritize cyber-criminal marketplaces to identify high-value targets for investigators.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Must have a Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, I will ensure the safety and security of our nation. I will leverage open source and commercial software tools to review, assess, and collect data from various open and closed web sources, such as news publications, blogs, social media platforms, forums, and dark web sites. My key responsibilities will include:
• Evaluating internet information from various sources, including social media, chats, darknet, and news feeds, to identify investigative opportunities and intelligence for cybercrime, narcotics, identity theft, and workplace violence cases.
• Performing a prioritized assessment of data to identify critical information such as bitcoins, locations, accounts, and other vital indicators.
• Creating intelligence and investigative reports detailing the data sources reviewed and conclusions drawn from the evaluation of information.
• Utilizing tools to conduct blockchain analysis, trace the flow of funds, and complete comprehensive reports on findings.

More:

I hold a bachelor's degree in an engineering, cyber, or related discipline, though it's preferred rather than required. I have 7-10+ years of experience supporting intelligence operations related to cybercrimes and cryptocurrency. My experience includes cryptocurrency tracing and law enforcement collaboration, as well as the use of visual tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, and/or i2 Analyst Notebook.

The work location is Chantilly, VA, with a hybrid model (2 days remote, 3 days in-office) being implemented. This position requires a Top-Secret clearance, and candidates must have resided in the US for the past five years.
