Surgical Equipment Assistant

Duties:

• Provide surgical assistance in the OR/procedure room, working directly with surgeons and residents.
• Escort and prepare patients for surgery, reviewing records and confirming treatment plans.
• Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
• Capture radiographs as needed and assist in monitoring patient vitals during procedures.
• Manage post-procedure cleanup, including medical waste disposal and equipment sterilization.
• Restock surgical areas and order necessary supplies.
• Act as a reliable first responder in emergency situations.

Skills Required:

• Certification as a Dental Assistant and current BLS certification.
• 3-5 years of surgical assistance experience.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and manage clinical tasks.

Education:

• Minimum Associate's Degree; Bachelor's preferred.
