Surgical Clinic Assistant

Duties:

• Assist surgeons and residents during procedures in the clinic and OR/procedure room.
• Escort patients to surgical chairs, review medical records, and ensure completeness of charts.
• Prepare sterile instruments, surgical trays, and equipment for each procedure.
• Take radiographs as requested, before, during, and after procedures.
• Provide chair-side assistance, including monitoring vitals, suctioning, and passing instruments.
• Dispose of medical waste and clean and disinfect the operating area after procedures.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies.

Skills Required:

• Dental Assistant Certification and BLS certification mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Education:

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
