We Are Hiring for Staff Services Manager I
(Public Information Officer)!
($6,963 - $8,650 Monthly)

The Department of State Hospitals – Coalinga is now accepting applications for a  Full-Time, Permanent  Staff Services Manager I position in External Affairs. The incumbent engages in management responsibility for the facility’s External Affairs Unit, consisting of Litigation Coordination and Court Liaison and Patient appeals as well as recommends policy and courses of action to the Executive Director. Ensures policies, practices and procedures relating to litigation and patient appeals comply with established facility policies, applicable and external requirements. Also responsible to screen release information to the media, public officials and the public. Acts as liaison with Headquarters on all communications to the press, weekly reports to agency, advisory board business and other required notifications. .

Working Conditions

The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital. All employees are required to have an annual health review and TB test or whenever necessary to ascertain that they are free from symptoms indicating the presence of infection and are able to safely perform their essential job functions.
