Solution Designer
Job Description:
As a Solution Designer within Sage, you will play a pivotal role in driving the delivery and success of our products. You will act as the bridge between our development team and our customers, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our customers and delivers exceptional value. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong problem solving and communication skills, and a deep understanding of both the domain and the technical aspects of product development. As a Payroll and HR Solution Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our SaaS Payroll and HR solutions to fit the needs of small business users, helping to solve problems and address pain points experienced by users with little to no knowledge of complex compliance processes and requirements.
-Experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in software development or tech organisations. -Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify key business requirements whilst using data and metrics to drive informed decisions. -Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment. -Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and requirements to technical and non-technical audiences. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. -A passion for technology with a particular focus on SaaS solutions. -Strong domain knowledge in the Payroll and HR space is a benefit. -Good knowledge of industry standard tools (JIRA, Confluence, Miro, Slack, MS Teams, Figma) -Good knowledge of design thinking principles. -Demonstrates strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. -Seeks out personal development activities with initiative. -Designs for constraint, and plans for iterative or phased delivery, and scalable solutions. -Independently handles change and unknowns. -Anticipates and handles blockers. Actively improves personal velocity
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead project delivery and collaboration with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver outstanding customer features and experiences. -Strong business analysis expertise, liaising with stakeholders to elicit key delivery requirements. -Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable items on the product backlog. -Liaise with Product Management to regularly review and refine the product roadmap to align with changing business priorities and customer needs. -Act as the primary point of contact for any questions or clarifications related to the product. -Define and prioritize the product backlog based on customer feedback, compliance and technical requirements, and the product roadmap (business goals). -Deliver thorough and well-organized analysis, clearly documented and communicated across all teams and projects involved. -Continuously seek feedback from customers and stakeholders to iterate and improve the product over time. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage scope and deliver requirements for incremental improvements to the product.
