The National Council Office of the United States, Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP USA) seeks a Senior National Director of Information Technology. The Senior National Director of Information Technology will lead the roll out of a national technology platform supporting the 90,000 volunteers in the United States. Concurrently with the roll out the Senior National Director of Information Technology will work with the CEO and Technology Committee to prioritize future modules to be added to the platform as well as recommend additional technology systems for adoption and to collaborate with the chosen vendors for continual support.

Job Responsibilities

· Works with the National Council to continue to refine the overall digital transformation strategy and roadmap.

· Leads the roll out for a standardized National platform.

· Integrates new software and platforms into existing computer systems to ensure that technology is optimized.

· Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data

· Recruits, develops, manages and leads a team of IT professionals and makes sure internal and external user needs are being met.

· Builds a centralized IT support function to provide user support for National Council managed software applications.

· Serves as a member of the executive team and takes part in long-term strategic planning for the National Council.

· Ensure adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data.

· Analyzes system usage and processes to determine how to optimize return on investment, improve information technology systems, and foster business growth.

· Researches and forecasts emerging computing trends.

· Develops and maintains IT budget.

· Establishes maintenance checks and other technology infrastructure monitoring strategies.

· Establishes and maintains strategic relationships with technology vendors and negotiates services and contracts.

· Recommends upgrades and systems for purchase.

· Develops training plans for Vincentian users.

· Conducts business continuity planning for the National Council

· Communicates technology needs and strategy to fellow members of executive team.

· Helps direct development of both public-facing and Vincentian member web platforms and digital experiences.

· Oversees data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)

· Leads efforts in automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and data analytics to drive value for Vincentians.

· Develops and enforces cybersecurity strategies to protect digital assets from cyber threats.

· Collaborate with security teams to implement threat detection, mitigation, and recovery measures.

Requirements

· Previous experience with an enterprise digital transformation effort is a plus.

· Strong Project and Program management.

· Strategic thinking and planning skills.

· Experience in the technology sector at a non-profit.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to gather project requirements, develop detailed project plans, schedule and execute the project tasks.

· Ability to create and deliver a clear and effective presentation to small groups (5-20 people).

· Able to organize and provide directions to junior IT staff members.

· Experience in evaluating software systems for organizational use.

· Demonstrated experience in delivering customer-centric applications.

· A demonstrated commitment to customer service.
