What you will be doing: Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (APRN) - Emergency Department

Function as a leader in healthcare to improve organizational outcomes.
Demonstrate advanced professional competence in a specialized area of nursing practice.
Influence care outcomes by providing expert consultation and implementing improvements in patient care delivery.
Lead in the development of nursing practice that incorporates established national specialty practice guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Utilize interdisciplinary frameworks, outcomes from nursing and healthcare research, and best practices to impact patient care delivery.
Advance technology that supports efficient and effective patient care.
Serve in key roles including practitioner, educator, leader, consultant, and researcher.
Focus on patient care and staff practice within the specialty patient population.
Collaborate system-wide with nursing, service lines, and other patient care departments.

Experience you will need: Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (APRN) - Emergency Department

Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.
National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
Oregon Advanced Practice - Clinical Nurse Specialist License upon hire.
Certification as Clinical Nurse Specialist in area of specialty upon hire.
Certification in area of specialty (e.g., CEN, CCRN) upon hire.
Three (3) years of experience in area of specialty (Emergency Department).
Preferred: 2 years of experience in teaching adult learners.
Preferred: 2 years of Clinical Nurse Specialist experience.
