Loka, a globally distributed tech consultancy based in Silicon Valley, is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join our growing team in Portugal/ Macedonia/ Serbia/ LatAm. Your expertise in project management will help us improve delivery efficiency and project outcomes. We expect you to not just fit in with our Project Management crew but to elevate it to new heights.

Our technical teams help clients launch innovations that fix the climate, defeat cancer, improve agricultural efficiencies, teach kids to read and more. The Role

  • Take full responsibility for assigned tasks and projects, ensuring accountability for outcomes and results.
  • Understand business objectives and develop solutions that help achieve them.
  • Define metrics to track progress.
  • Define project scope, objectives and resources.
  • Manage budget, schedule and work plan.
  • Provide consistent updates to stakeholders.
  • Apply industry best practices and standards.
  • Monitor progress, make adjustments and measure performance.
  • Perform quality control.
  • Lead client communications by gathering requirements, managing expectations and communicating deliverables effectively.
  • Follow Loka’s career track for growth by demonstrating technical excellence, innovation, autonomy, ownership, communication and teamwork.
  • Direct report to a Project Manager Lead.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to incorporate cutting-edge techniques and tools into projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams (Data Engineering, DevOps, BackEnd, etc.).

The Required Hard Skills

  • 3+ years of project management in software development
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field
  • Agile methodologies experience
  • Proficiency in project management tools
  • Excellent English: As a global team, we work entirely in English for meetings and other business communications.
  • Client-facing experience
  • Experience in consultancy environments or startups, managing projects and adapting to different settings
