Job Description

**Overview** Kimley-Horn's Mesa, AZ office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join their Aviation team! This is not a remote position. **Responsibilities** + Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction + In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include managing project tasks, project design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinating work with other team members + Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects + Maintaining a high degree of quality sets of plans along with checking the work of others + Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules + This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects + You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships + You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors **Qualifications** + 8+ years of aviation engineering design experience + Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months) + Familiarity with contract document preparation and cost estimating + Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circular's and Engineering Briefs + Familiarity with pavement design and FAAR Field Design Software + Strong desire and passion to be engaged with clients solving project problems and working with the team to deliver + Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation experience + Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills + Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines **Why Kimley-Horn?** At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
