Compensation: $93,000 $117,000 annually + Full Benefits
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our team in Rapid City, SD. This full-time, permanent position plays a vital role in optimizing patient outcomes through expert clinical care, staff education, evidence-based practice, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge in cardiovascular or acute care nursing and a passion for improving care delivery across the continuum.
Key Responsibilities:Serve as an expert clinician, consultant, and resource for nursing staff to improve patient care and outcomes.
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures.
Provide clinical consultation including differential diagnosis and recommendations for care management.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease management, and lifestyle adjustments.
Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, utilizing data-driven methods to drive practice change.
Collaborate with staff and leadership on resource allocation, workflow improvement, and patient safety strategies.
Identify training needs and develop/lead educational programs or in-service sessions.
Stay current with clinical advancements and contribute to professional development, research, and innovation in nursing.
Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills across interdisciplinary teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing Clinical Nurse Specialist track
Licensure & Certification:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license South Dakota (or compact state)
Additional certifications in specialty areas preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience
Prior experience in a clinical leadership or educator role preferred
