Advanced Providers Role Scope * We have a growth opportunity for a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice RN (APRN) who will enjoy: o Unique, 1:1 training with a neurosurgeon o Growth and development. o Both clinic and OR time (1st Assist) o Working with a team of advanced practitioners with an abundance of Neurosurgery experience o Participation in work-up, planning, and surgical procedures including advanced cranial and spine surgeries (craniotomies for epilepsy, tumor, and trauma as well as complex and deformity spine cases) o Established practice and staff who take time with their patients Shift - Full Time four 10-hour shifts, M-F.   • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred.
  • Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
  • Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) certification required for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Preferred >1-year experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant in a Neurosurgery or an Orthopedic setting; 1st Assist in OR preferred
