Cyprus Credit Union has an opening for a Mortgage Advisor 3, this position is located at our West Jordan Corporate Center. This person will be responsible for origination of long-term mortgage loans from leads conducts initial pre-qualification interviews and prepares complete loan application packages and necessary documentation. Conveys policies for extension of credit in accordance with Credit Union and secondary investor guidelines. Meets Mortgage Loan scheduling and documentation requirements, and production expectations as determined by the Mortgage Sales Manager. Serves members best interests, prospective members, builders, and Realtors promptly and professionally. Provides general Credit Union information and cross-sells services. Assists Mortgage Loan personnel as necessary. Responsible to generate leads from sources outside the credit union i.e. through personal contacts with realtors, builder, financial planner, data base relationships and others, in addition to the leads that may be provided through the credit union.

Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relations with members, Realtors and building professionals.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with management.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year accredited university or college or an equivalent of education and mortgage experience. Additional coursework in business or related field preferred. Must have and maintain an NMLS ID number (S.A.F.E. Act registration).
Required Knowledge: Understanding of the foundation of determining credit worthiness. Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, products, procedures, processing, and underwriting guidelines. Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals.
Experience Required: Two to four years of loan origination experience in a credit union or banking environment preferred. Ability to generate leads for the community. Documented amount of retail residential mortgage funding's in the past 12 months with established relationships from local referral sources preferred.
Skills/Abilities: Strong interviewing skills. Excellent communication and public relations abilities. Good analytical and financial skills. Able to operate related computer applications, calculator, and other basic business equipment.
