Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) Developer to join our Application Development Integration Tools team . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing automated workflows using IBM BAW to improve business productivity. This senior role will involve both developing and maintaining workflow applications and integrating on-premise and cloud-based systems critical to business operations.

Requirements

• Act as a subject matter expert for IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) development, supporting the design and implementation of BAW solutions for enterprise applications.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows and business process solutions using IBM BAW , ensuring integration across on-premise and cloud-based systems.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical solutions.
• Develop, document, test, and troubleshoot automated solutions using ETL tool sets .
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Review functional and design documents and provide feedback to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for secure coding , following industry standards such as OWASP Secure Coding Guidelines .
• Create and maintain operational and system-level documentation to support the development and maintenance of workflow solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams in Agile environments, participating in architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Assist in the development and implementation of ETL solutions with optimal performance, including job recovery, failover, and logging mechanisms.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry standards to continuously improve development processes and practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience working with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and developing BAW workflows for enterprise systems.
• Strong experience in SQL , including the ability to develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize complex queries and stored procedures.
• Deep understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling , data mapping, and design for integration, migration, and warehousing.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL solutions , with experience in optimizing performance and ensuring reliability.
• Strong background in Java , J2EE , and database management (including DB2 , SQL , PL/SQL , JDBC ).
• Preferred experience with MuleSoft for application integration.
• Experience in the banking or insurance industries is a plus.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in an Agile software development environment .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with IBM Integration Designer for modeling executable processes.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and the integration of cloud-based systems with on-premise environments.
• Experience with other workflow tools and integration platforms.
