JOB STATEMENT:
$35/Hr Fixed Route CDL Drivers needed (zip code 29405). This is a 1099 opportunity. Our drivers are true ambassadors for MyCity and THE CONTRACTOR, as they are often the only representatives that passengers will see or speak to directly. Reporting to our team of supervisors, they are responsible for ensuring safe, courteous, and timely service for THE CONTRACTOR's passengers. Their primary goal is to guarantee that every passenger has a safe and enjoyable experience.
DUTIES: - Ensure safe on-road operations while maintaining on-time pick-ups and dropoffs.
- Report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department in accordance with company procedures and refrain from operating any unsafe vehicles.
- Arrive for duty on time and maintain assigned routes punctually while prioritizing safety.
- Physically assist passengers in evacuating the vehicle in case of an emergency. - Immediately report any accidents or incidents following company policy.
- Manage passenger behavior and/or student conduct according to company policies. - Communicate all relevant issues or procedures to the appropriate personnel.
- Always keep the interior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable.
- Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance.
- Ensure the vehicle is properly fueled according to facility procedures.
- Complete all required paperwork, including route change sheets, timecards, and vehicle repair requests, and submit them to the appropriate authority promptly.
- Foster a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers, while consistently promoting company goodwill.
- Prepare the vehicle for inclement weather conditions by scraping or cleaning windows and applying tire chains as necessary.
- Safely and efficiently use vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a valid CDL driver's license with a passenger endorsement.
- Must pass a criminal background.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and physical test.
- Subject to random drug and alcohol testing at anytime.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- The employee must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- The employee must be capable of bending, reaching, crouching, and climbing.
Work Environment:
- The individual will primarily be inside an air condition or heated covered vehicle. The individual will frequently be exposed to different outdoor conditions while driving vehicles such as hot/warm, cold, extreme cold, rainy, sunny and snowy conditions.
