Job Description



We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Oakland Park. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining various types of cranes for construction and material handling operations.

  • Operate mobile cranes, tower cranes, and other lifting equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
  • Calculate load weights and ensure proper rigging techniques
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
  • Communicate effectively with ground crews and other construction team members
  • Interpret and follow lift plans and project specifications
  • Maintain accurate logs of operations and safety checks
  • Monitor weather conditions that may impact crane operations
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately

Qualifications

  • Valid NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification
  • 2-3 years of proven experience operating various types of cranes
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current OSHA safety certifications
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong understanding of load calculations and rigging procedures
  • Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
  • Proven safety record and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to climb, lift, and perform equipment inspections
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices and terminology
  • Experience maintaining operation logs and safety records
