This full-time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) position is part of a float pool at a Montana state hospital. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, performing basic health-related tasks, and transporting residents. Strong communication, teamwork, and de-escalation skills are essential in this adult psychiatric care setting. The position is a travel contract running from June 2nd, 2025 to September 6th, 2025, with a preference for candidates with open shift availability.

Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, oral hygiene, dressing).
- Perform health-related tasks (vital signs, specimen collection, emergency assistance).
- Transport residents to appointments and provide necessary assistance.
- Communicate clearly and follow written and oral instructions.
- Make accurate observations and report/record them appropriately.
- Foster and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Valid Montana CNA certification.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in adult psychiatric facilities.
- Highly skilled in de-escalation techniques.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
- 1 year of travel contract experience.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with adult psychiatric care and de-escalation.
- Flexibility and adaptability to facility scheduling needs.
Special Considerations:
- Must be able to work holidays if needed.
- Must agree to job duties, location, and assignment requirements.
- Submission of prescreen form, resume, two references, skills checklist, CNA certification, BLS, CPI (if obtained), and driver's license is required.
Scheduling:
7am 3pm shift; preference for open shift availability. Flexibility in scheduling is required due to float pool assignment.
