CAD Designer II – 1707

Job Location: Newark, Ohio
Visa Candidates: No
Pay: $28.50 - $35.00 per hour, w2 only + bonus + stock + overtime + full benefits
Schedule: M-F

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in site design and drafting is REQUIRED
• Proficiency in CAD software, MicroStation preferred.
• Strong drafting skills and experience in creating detailed plans.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
• Associate's degree in a civil engineering-related field

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently perform design and plan production tasks using CAD at the direction of the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Be involved in projects from the conceptual phase, through the initial planning submittals, and final design.
• Work on a wide variety of project types, including private site development, public utility, public roadway, and structural plans. Responsibilities may include:
  • Import topographic surveys and creating 3D surface models.
  • Exhibit creation and edits.
  • Draft project designs with guidance and input from an engineer.
  • Perform limited independent design work including grading design and layout.
  • Plan Production including sheet set-up.
  • Perform work to Company drafting standards with minimal input.
  • Perform plan mark-up corrections.
