Canopy Home Services hiring a Business Intelligenc e Analyst (BI Analyst). 

Remote with 25% travel. 

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of a newly formed Business Intelligence function at Canopy. This role will be responsible for standardizing and transforming data, creating visualizations and dashboards, and working with the Finance team to provide insights that help drive business decisions. This individual will report directly to the CFO.

The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of typical business functions, will work to have a thorough understanding of Canopy's industry and end-market dynamics, be intellectually curious, and be open to communicating with the company's industry and end-market dynamics, be intellectually curious, and be open to communicating with Canopy's leaders. Candidates should be self-starters, comfortable leading multiple projects at a time, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to conduct research on their own. Additionally, candidates should be able to speak to what is and is not technically feasible while also having the ability to see and execute on a long-term vision.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Collecting and aggregating data across multiple sources and systems
• Extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data to/from the data warehouse 
• Building dashboards, visualizations, and ad hoc reports in the analytics platform
• Utilizing data mining and AI to identify opportunities within the business
• Maintaining key performance indicator data and charts
• Interpreting complex data sets, identifying trends, and preparing actionable insights
• Optimizing and improving existing data flows
• Managing multiple projects concurrently and effectively prioritizing tasks

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field
• 3+ years building reports and dashboards in PowerBI, Tableau or a similar analytics platform
• Strong programming experience with data analysis tools and languages (SQL, DAX, Python, etc.)
• Experience using Excel and VBA 
• Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks preferred
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar service platforms is a plus
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Creativity and innovation in problem solving and data storytelling
• Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to business challenges
• Solid understanding of business functions and industry dynamics
